BHS Graduation Requirements CONTENT AREA CREDITS English 4 Credits I, II, III, IV Mathematics 4 Credits Math I, Math II, Math III and one additional math course Science 3 Credits Earth & Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science Humanities 4 Credits World History, Civics and Economics, American History I and II World LanguagesNot required Health and Physical Education 1 Credit Health/Physical Education Electives 10 Credits 2 elective credits of any combination from either: Career and Technical Education, Arts Education, Foreign Languages Total Credits26 **plus 100 hours of community service

Second Languages Not required for High School graduation. MINIMUM requirement for colleges or universities is 2 credits of the SAME language. “Highly Selective” Colleges and Universities (Davidson, Duke, UNC, WFU) expect 4 credits of the same language.

Registration Timeline Feb. 17-20- Students will get a Course Recommendation Form to take to all teachers to sign and then bring home. English teachers and/or Ms. White will be speaking to students about registration process Feb. 23-March 6 th - PowerSchool Registration Feb. 25-26- Students will register for classes in computer lab at school
