1789: got an unpaid professorship at the university of jena 1790 he married Charlotte von Lengefeld; got 4 Children Since 1794 a close friend to Johann Wolfgang Goethe In 1802 he was appointed to the nobility An acute lung inflammation finally leads on 09 May 1805 to his early death.
