2.  He was born January 28 th 1912 in Cody, Wyoming.  Jackson grew up in Arizona and Chico, California  He was an alcoholic and thought to be bipolar

3.  Was the youngest out of five boys  Dad was an orphan  His wife, Lee Krasner, was also an artist  Scottish and Irish decent

4.  Paul Jackson Pollock died on August 11 th 1956 in Springs, New York  He was drinking and driving and crashed his car  The passenger of his car, Edith Metzger, was also killed.

5. His art was meant to represent repressed emotions and experiment with paints and colors as well as mediums such as the canvas in his painting No. 5 it is a timber wood canvas and that is also the second most expensive paintings in the world.

6.  He used many interesting things not just normal items like a paint brush or sponges. Things you would find around the house such as cleaning utensils and mixtures.

7.  I feel that his paintings are free for all expression of any and everything. I know when I did paint splattering I felt like a little kid it was fun seeing all the different colors come as close as they will get right before mixing.

8.  Another thing I love with working with abstract is when you do it it’s one of a kind no way it can be copied exactly. You can do all the same colors even the same technique.

9.  when that paint is flying away from your brush your feelings are now that paint and you cant stop them from doing what they want. also drips are very important when you feel like you need to get a color out there because it will make it look outrageous in the most amazing way.

10.  Jackson Pollock taught people how to express themselves in a unorganized way, a way that cannot be duplicated or changed in any way. He also let people know, in my opinion, how to even express yourself through color and technique.
