Stages First Stage Exploratory stage General descriptions of the civilizations: name, location, creation of the numerical system, climate, physical features of the population, etc. February 9TH to 13th Second Stage Guided Stage Detail description about the civilization taking into account the information given about Mayans, Aztecs and Incas, and applying the acquired knowledge through the lessons. February 23 rd to 27 th Final Presentation Oral presentation Oral explanation of the work using a Power Point presentation and other optional materials to support the presentation such as: costumes and models among others. March 16 th to 20 th

Timeline Takes important and notable elements from the Aztecs, Mayas and Incas civilizations to built your own civilization. Uses the knowledge about time line to explain the progress of their civilization through the time. GEOGRAPHY Parallels and meridians – Altitude, latitude, hemispheres. Climate: elements, factors and thermal floors. Explains how climate affects the living conditions (cultural and economic aspects) of their civilization aking into account the surfaces where the civilition is located. Locates the civilization using a map RELIGION Las religiones y la historia: Religiones monoteístas Inicio de la religión: Los primeros Profetas Origen de los dioses Talks about the type of religion practiced in your civilization, the main characteristics and describes the worshipped god (or gods).

ACTIVIDADES DE EXPLORACIÓN: Entrega 1: ENGLISH: Activity: Explains in written and oral way, the general facts about the daily routine and cultural activities that people could or couldn´t do on that Civilization. Evaluation: Design a comparative chart in which the student explains the daily activities and customs they could and couldn´t do properly. MATHS MATHS: Activity: Creates a new numerical system using different symbols to write numbers and identifies the value of each digit using a place value chart. Evaluation: Numerical system from 0-9, place value chart with 10 numbers (to hundred thousands).SCIENCE: Activity: Designs the corresponding classification table for different beings including the following lables: Name, Kingdom, number of cells, nutrition, movement, body covering, habitat, Breeding system, backbone. Evaluation: Presentation of the classification table according to the parameters established during the classes.

ACTIVIDADES DE EXPLORACIÓN: Entrega 1: HISTORY HISTORY: uses the learnt information through the classes to establish the first facts of their culture by taking the Mayans, Incas and Aztecs as models. Evaluation: name of the Civilization, location and other aspects. GEOGRAPHY GEOGRAPHY: Activity: Research of the main weather conditions of the region where your civilization is located. Evaluation Evaluation: Summary and main characteristics of the weather from the region.

ACTIVIDADES DE EXPLORACIÓN: Entrega 2: ENGLISH: Activity: Written performance in the word form of numbers and the use of linking words to connect paragraphs and historical events. Evaluation: Word form of the numbers (spelling) and progress in the different topics. MATHS MATHS: Activity: Uses the numbers presented on the first stage to make different kind of operations such as rounding and representation of numbers in their standard, expanded and word forms. Evaluation: Presentation of the previous numbers standard, expanded and word forms. Rounding operations. SCIENCE SCIENCE: Activity: Design of the corresponding classification table for different beings, and filled taking into account their number of cells. Evaluation: Draft of classification table, with the distintion between unicellular and pluricellular beings.

ACTIVIDADES DE EXPLORACIÓN: Entrega 2: HISTORY HISTORY: Activity: Location, Main city, main invention, socio-political organization, religion, cultural aspects. Evaluation: Draft of the project and progress in the topics area. GEOGRAPHY GEOGRAPHY: Activity: taking about the way in which the weather influences the main customs and cultural aspects of their civilization: food, arquitecture, dressing, celebrations among others Evaluation Evaluation: draft of the project and progress in the topics area.

SYNTHESIS PROJECT FINAL HANDING OVER ENGLISH ENGLISH: –Expressing their thoughts and knowledge about the civilization by using simple past tense and linking sentences with different connectors in written and spoken way. MATHS MATHS: –Use of their own numerical system to express different amounts in standard, word and expanded forms; problem solving, rounding, addition and subtraction operations.HISTORY: –Showing relation between the most important and notable elements from the Aztecs, Mayas and Incas civilizations with their own civilization.
