Jesus’ Priesthood : After The Order of Melchizedek THE NEED: The Old Law – Levitical Priesthood (Aaron) made nothing perfect (Heb. 7:11-19) – Necessity of change of the law (Heb. 7:12) – Jesus’ priesthood not after the Law, but after the power of an endless life (Heb. 7:16-17, Psm. 110:4) – Weakness and unprofitableness of the Law – made nothing perfect (Heb. 7:19, Rom. 8:3)

Jesus’ Priesthood : After The Order of Melchizedek THE SURETY: Connected with an OATH (Heb. 7:19-24, Psm. 110:4) – Better hope for those drawing nigh to God – Jesus surety of a better covenant – Jesus abides forever – priesthood unchangeable

Jesus’ Priesthood : After The Order of Melchizedek THE BLESSING: Able to SAVE COMPLETELY, MAKES INTERCESSION (Heb. 7:25) – For them who draw near unto God through Him – Ever lives – work as priest (intercession) does not end.
