Project Funding Local funding sources $75 million – Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) - capital $14 million – Cushing Street Bridge $11 million – Public utilities $3.2 million – The Gadsden Company Federal funding sources $63 million – TIGER Grant awarded Feb 2010 New Starts “Exempt” project - received $6 million of $25 million in appropriations to date Other funding sources $4.6 million - City of Tucson grants and other programs

What is the Modern Streetcar? Fixed-guideway rail system All electric power Vehicles are ‘Made in America’ Operates in mixed traffic Compatible with on-street parking Shares lanes Safe in high pedestrian areas Low floor with multiple doors ADA accessible Approximately 130 passengers per vehicle
