What is a megacity? A city with a population larger than 10 million people. There are 33 megacities in the world.

Complete the Chart On the next slide, you will see a list of the top fifteen largest cities in the world. You will complete the chart on your handout by writing in the name of the city and its country. Then, you will determine the world region that each city is a part of.

Line Up: Left side: “I feel very concerned about the increase in megacities in the world.” Right side: “I don’t think it is a concern that the number of megacities are on the rise.” 3.
