4 Block Diagram The video image of NTSC/PAL is input to the four channel video controller (multiplex) of the recorder unit. The recorder process the video image and the voice simultaneously and compressed/decompressed with the software codec. Compressed image and voice data are recorded on the SD memory card as ASF file (recording). CPU controls the switching and the LED illuminating on a front panel. Additional external interface of digital I/O and the serial line are equipped.

7 Camera installation position and direction of taking a picture Application 1 Surveillance camera Short distance camera for forward Distance camera for forward Left side-view mirror camera The camera is set up in the ceiling in forward, the rear side, the driver's seat, and the seat. When reproducing, the gap is not caused because all cameras synchronize with recording. Moreover, the collection of sound mike to understand the situation in the vehicle in the vicinity of a camera forward is set up.

8 Application 2 Armored Vehicle Transportation Vehicle Front viewing Camera Driver’s side Camera Cabin viewing Camera Back viewing Camera Some cameras are installed in the front, back, a driver's seat, a carrier, and an opening-and-closing door. As for video image recording, the image of those cameras synchronize. Therefore, there is no gap at the time of reproduction. Moreover, a microphone to grasp a situation in the car is installed in near with a front viewing camera.
