4 TRAGEDY  Romeo and Juliet (1594 -1595)  Romeo and Juliet as young secret lovers, with their families as enemies  Secretly got married  Ends with the death of Romeo, Juliet, Tybalt and Paris  Addresses the issues of blind passion, hatred and prejudice

5 TRAGEDY  HAMLET (1600-1601)  Prince Hamlet mourns over the death of his father  Father appears to him and tell him that Claudius poisoned him  Hamlet wanted revenge  Ophelia drove crazy by Hamlet’s act and dies  Ends with the death of Gertrude, Laertes, Claudius and Hamlet  Addresses the issues of revenge, deception, ambition, loyalty and fate
