7 Read the text and fill in numerals The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that still survives today. It was the tallest building in the world for almost 5,000 years until the Eifel Tower was built in 1889. Just to give you an idea of how large the Great Pyramid is – it is the height of a modern _?_ - storey building, or over _?_ metres. 13 Rewrite the following text changing the underlined verbs into the passive The Hanging Gardens of Babylon People believe that King Nebuchadnezzar built the gardens as a present for his wife, Amytas, in 600 BC. Archeologists had not found any evidences until recently that the Gardens existed at all. For a long time, experts believed that the Greek poets had made the Gardens up. Babylonian historians do not mention them. Archeologists discovered the remains of the Palace of Babylon a few years ago and they have found huge walls which may have been built as part of the Gardens.The ancient Babylonians grew the Gardens 75 metres above the ground. Today, visitors to modern Iraq can see the ruins of Babylon, though only a stone lion remains of the glory that was Babylon.
