11 GRADE 7 Subjects CORE CURRICULUM (all based on the Australian curriculum) English - 4hrs Mathematics - 4hrs Science - 3hrs Social Science (History & Geography) - 3hrs Health & Physical Education - 3hrs In Grade 7, students at KMHS study the following subjects in a 25 hour week of study: HALF YEAR COURSES (2hrs each per week) LOTE Drama Foods MDT Art Music ENRICHMENT COURSES (2hrs per week) Examples include: Robotics Mobile Mechanics Photography Computing Dance for Fun & Fitness Music Extended Snack Size Junior Fast Fitness Sport Education Tempting Treats

13 CLASS TEACHERS First port-of-call with any student concerns Day to day pastoral care Attendance monitoring Regular parent contact GRADE 7 Teaching Team AST (Senior Teacher of grade) Overall responsibility for coordinating of grade Student & staff support Serious behaviour concerns – proactive planning & intervention GRADE LEADER Support of both class teachers & the AST Behaviour management & student support ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL / PRINCIPAL Working with the AST & Grade Leader to support student & grade needs
