TAMUG is a branch of Texas A&M Students are known as “Sea Aggies.” They share Texas A&M’s colors, Maroon and White. Sea Aggie Band

There are groups that SCUBA just for fun! And there are SCUBA classes to learn how to research (study) the ocean.

Academics/Degree Programs Marine Biology - biological sciences with ocean emphasis Marine Sciences - oceanography, marine chemistry, marine geology Marine Engineering Technology - electro/mechanical engineering Marine Transportation - ship operations Marine Fisheries - aquaculture, mariculture Maritime Systems Engineering - ocean/civil engineering Maritime Administration - international trade, port operations Maritime Studies - liberal arts, nautical archaeology University Studies - maritime policy and pre-law Ocean and Coastal Resources - environmental marine sciences Many of the classes have a “SEA” theme such as: "Literature of the Sea,” "Introduction to Marine Sciences," “Cruise geography”

Tradition: The Anchor The anchor serves as a memorial to the USTS TEXAS CLIPPER. She served Texas A&M University at Galveston for 32 years. Students can often be seen rubbing the anchor for good luck before exams. USTS Texas Clipper: My Anchor is Good Luck!

The Sea Life Facility helps injured Sea Animals, such as turtles. CLICK HERE CLICK HERE to watch a video about the Sea Life Facility! “Milagro” was the first turtle to be helped by the facility.
