Homonyms - A big category--the umbrella—
under which we find homophones and homographs. Homonym = Homo (“same”) spelling and sound, but different meanings Homophones= HOMO ("same") + PHONE ("sound") , pronounced the same, but different spellings and meanings. Homographs= HOMO ("same") spelling GRAPHS ("writing") different meanings and pronunciations
