Pollution is a word that we all know, these days. What does this mean? If you look at the "pollution" in the dictionary, we find something like - "to destroy the purity." The environment, that is our environment, a place where we live, is unclean to our own activities. The pollutants that we produce, not only affect our lives, but also on the lives of other living creatures, plants and animals. All living things depend on nonliving components of the environment to survive - earth, air and water, and these three parts, which suffer from pollution.

10 problems of environmental pollution 1) Artisanal gold mining is the source of 30% of global mercury pollution. 2) Contamination of surface water is the cause of death in the world five million people a year. 3) Contamination of groundwater is a potential threat of pollution 97% of all stocks available fresh water of the planet. 4) from indoor air pollution (various allergens, bacteria, dust, toxic discharge of plastics, cigarette smoke, etc.) in the world has suffered nearly a billion people. 5) Production of metal is a source of 6% of all CO2 emissions in the atmosphere of our planet. 6) Extraction of minerals leads to contamination of groundwater. 7) Radioactive waste and uranium mining are the source of the environment millions of liters of highly hazardous waste. 8) Raw sewage has a strong influence on the health of 2.6 billion people. 9) urban air pollution is the cause of death of the Earth's 865,000 people a year. 10) 85% of the 8 million tons of lead annually provides in the environment, contained in end-of-age batteries, and batteries.

Land Healthy soil is essential for life. Plants serve as food for animals and humans. Good soil should be sufficient humus - (decaying plant and animal residues), water, minerals, air, and population of living organisms, including bacteria, insects and worms. These favorable conditions can be destroyed by human activity.
6
Each household produces about one tonne of waste per year. In addition, toxic and radioactive wastes from factories pose a danger to wildlife and humans. Garbage decomposes and can produce toxins that seep into the soil.
7
Protect plants and animals. Participate in subbotniks greening of the area. Save papers so you can prevent deforestation. Use compact fluorescent lamps. These lamps emit 70 percent less heat, so they are safer to operate and can cut energy costs.
8
Sort waste to recycling waste. Eat more fruits and vegetables. If you eat less meat, you can help the environment, as for the production of meat requires a lot of land, water, grain and fuel. Less than ride in cars to reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Save water to save water resources.
9
It is well to learn, because educated people are more aware of the problems of our planet. Use reusable bags as well as for the production of plastic bags are needed, many natural resources. Б
