CSI Effect is the unrealistic expectation by jurors, resulting from TV shows that irrefutable forensics evidence will be available in every case.

Presence of Physical evidence such as DNA, blood, fingerprint, etc in criminal cases Quick and conclusive results when analyzing evidence Advanced technology and well equipped labs Super science (being able to peel back retina of a victim and seeing reflection of suspect)

Higher rate of acquittal More expert witnesses are needed A source of elimination when selecting juries Criminals are becoming more forensics savvy resulting in less physical evidence being left behind at crime scene
