FISCAL & NON-FISCAL Provisions under the MP Tourism Policy 2010 Fiscal Incentives Fiscal Incentives Luxury Tax exemptions for: Room rent of Rs.2000/day During 3 months off season 5 years for New hotels in Bhopal and Indore and 8 years in rest of the state Units registered under “Bed & Breakfast Scheme” 10 years for New Heritage Hotel Entertainment Tax exemptions for: New Tourism projects- 10 years on items of permanent nature and 6 years on items of temporary nature. Registration and Stamp Duty Fees exemption for: New Heritage Hotels- for built up area Government land allotted Motor Vehicle Tax exemption: Tourist Vehicles for 2 years on certain indentified designated routes. Diversion Fee: 80% discount on Diversion premium and fees Electricity Duty & Cess exemption: Captive power plants by Tourism Project

FISCAL & NON-FISCAL Provisions under the MP Tourism Policy 2010 Non-Fiscal Incentives Non-Fiscal Incentives Film Tourism: MP State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSDTC) to coordinating with various dept. for permission and clearance for film shooting. Skill Development and Training: Vocational training programmes for Front Desk Management, House Keeping and Food & Beverage Tourism Development Council: State Tourism Development Council- to provide vision, leadership, and ensure convergence District Tourism Promotion Council- to promote tourism at the local level Interdepartmental Coordination: Committee headed by Chief Secretary to resolve matter that require Interdepartmental Coordination Single Window: MPSDTC shall act as single window for implementing the policy provisions

FISCAL & NON-FISCAL Additional Provisions under the MP Tourism Policy 2010 (as ammended in 2012) Fiscal Incentives Non-Fiscal Incentives Industry status to Tourism Sector Fiscal Incentives to Tourism Development in line with Industrial Policy. Capital Subsidy Heritage Hotels: 25% of Capital (max. Rs. 1.5 cr) Budget Hotels: on Government Land 10% of Capital (max. Rs. 50 lac) & on Private land 20% of Capital (max. Rs. 50 lac) Hotels & Resorts: 25% (upto Rs. 3 Cr.), 20% (Rs. 3 Cr. to Rs. 5 Cr.) and 15% (above Rs. 5 Cr.) max. subsidy of Rs. 1.5 Cr. MICE Tourism: 25% of Capital (max. 10 Cr.) Fast Track Clearance For projects of cost above Rs. 10 Cr. Bar Licenses: Subsidy on license fee to units that are hereafter given on management contract by MPSTDC 24X7 power supply for Tourist Destinations
