Codesoft Edition Overview Editions of Codesoft include: Codesoft Print Only – open and print files created in other versions Codesoft Pro – limited label creation version Codesoft Enterprise – full version, includes all Codesoft functions Codesoft Network - Network Utility installed on PC acting as server, Enterprise installed on all workstations. The Pro edition has all our stock label sizes, internal print drivers, the ability to import data and images, and allow you to create barcodes, counters, date codes, simple formulas (conversion, concatenation, etc), form variables (user data prompts), shapes, etc. Enterprise costs more, but it does more.

Codesoft – First Things First Make sure you have the correct print driver installed and selected: File / Select Printer Make sure you have the correct page setup for the labels you will be using: File / Page Setup If using a stock label part, select the correct Type and Name If using a custom label, enter your own Type and Name and … Enter the label dimensions in the Label, Page and Margins tabs In the “THT” world, a Page is a label or row of labels (if multiple across) Do not enter the space between rows of labels, printer calibration takes care of that.

Codesoft – Printing Options File / Print or F6 or Printer icon (shown) Options: Default Print Screen can be set in Tools / Options or Tools / Configuration Direct: Print the one current label now, not given any print options. Simple: Displays basic Print Quantity options (see next slide) Expanded: Gives quantity, printing from database, and adjust print position options Searches in Database: Allows you to search for specific record(s) in database and print a label containing that data Database Query Result: Displays all records in the database and allows you to select specific records to print whether they are contiguous or not, and enter how many of each you want to print.

Codesoft – Print Quantity Options Print Quantity Options Labels: Enter the number of labels to be printed. If the document includes a counter, this number determines the number of different labels to be printed - the number of times the counter increments. Copies of each label: Enter the number of identical copies of each label to be printed. Copies of each page: Enter the number of exact copies of each page to be printed. With THT labels on a roll, a page is a row of labels if multiple across. NOTE: If the label contains a counter, its value will remain the same for each copy. Total: This box is fed automatically according to the values entered in the above boxes. It indicates the total number of labels to be printed.
