Geometric Shapes Geometric shapes are: –Square –Trapezoid –Parallelogram –Triangle –Circle –Rectangle –Hexagon –Octagon Back to Table of Contents

Recognizing Shapes No Sides Circle A circle is round. 3 Sides Triangle A triangle has 3 sides.

4 Sides Square Rectangle A square has 4 equal sides. A rectangle has 4 sides: 2 sides are equal to each other and the 2 other sides are equal to each other.

4 Sides Parallelogram A parallelogram has 4 sides. Trapezoid A trapezoid has 4 sides.

6 Sides 8 Sides Hexagon Octagon A hexagon has 6 sides. An octagon has 8 sides.
