ACT What is the ACT? The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in: English, Math, Reading, and Science. You can also choose to take the writing part of the ACT if your college requests the writing part. The ACT is accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the US. The ACT includes 215 multiple-choice questions and takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. Actual testing time is 2 hours and 55 minutes (plus 30 minutes for the writing). Who should be taking it? Everyone should at their appropriate time. When should the student be taking it? Word of God Academy recommends every student should take the ACT in June after their 9 th grade year. Then continue studying and taking it until you have the desired score. Please remember this particular test is not free and is not paid by the school. Please have your score sent to WOGA as well as the colleges you are thinking about attending.

Final Points Word of God Academy teachers are incorporating ACT/SAT prep into their daily lessons. All students are following an excellent curriculum to receive the TOPS scholarship through our Word of God Academy Educational Plan. Remember, in order to be awarded a TOPS Scholarship, a student must take the required courses, earn the required GPA or above, and score the minimum ACT or equivalent SAT score or above on the test. All of these combined are mandatory for the scholarship. We will be administering a career, strengths, and interests test in the near future to all 7 th through 10 th grade students.
