Always carry with two hands. Only use lens paper for cleaning. Do not let lens touch specimen or slide. Do not force knobs.

Place the slide on the microscope. Use stage clips. Start with the lowest setting. Look into the eyepiece. Use the coarse adjustment knob.

Move the nosepiece to the medium objective. Make sure objective will NOT touch slide. Do NOT use the coarse adjustment knob. Use the fine adjustment knob. If you don’t see anything, go back to low power and try again.
