CPTWG 2002 / December / 04 Status Report from WG9 / DVD Forum DVD Forum WG9 4 WG9/Ah9-1 is studying implementation of emerging new conditions such as EPN. –MEI’s proposal “EPN support on video recording” was accepted by WG9 and would be discussed in TCG. –EPN will be in service soon in Japan. WG9 had a meeting to discuss copy protection requirements for HD-DVD9 in L.A. on December 3. –Requirements not only for HD-DVD9 but also for HD content in general were presented. –Issues such as compatibility, robustness, extensibility and some other additional concepts were discussed.
