MA Journalism (NCTJ Accredited)

Is aimed at students who want to work as journalists in the UK after graduation. They undertake the strict requirements for skills acquisition laid down by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). Much of which is very specific to the UK. They undertake exams approved by NCTJ. This is one of only twelve MA Journalism courses recognised by the NCTJ. MA Journalism

While it is based on Brunel’s highly regarded journalism education MAIJ does not include the NCTJ modules. It is aimed at students who are not intending to work in the UK traditional media industry It is equally vigorous but in a broader sense Students are encouraged to use their international vision and understanding MA International Journalism

Taught programme Applicants are expected to have: A high standard of English ILETS 7.0 Good degree or compelling evidence of commitment to journalism MA International Journalism

Course requires work placement in industry (for example CNN, BBC and major newspapers) Choice of dissertation or major project. MA International Journalism
