Day 1 - Outbound Travel Details Friday morning: ● Meet at back of school at 5.30am – to leave promptly at 6.00 am ● Please be careful not to block gate/road ● Small snack for journey ● Flight from Heathrow T5 to Berlin Tegel Dep: 12.25pm Arr: 13.50 pm ● Coach to take us to hotel on arrival

Day 1 – Friday pm Arrive at hotel approx 3.30pm Organise rooming for pupils at hotel Evening meal at hotel Leave for Christmas market at the Gendarmenmarkt Return to hotel

Day 2 - Saturday Morning Museum - The Story of Berlin Stroll along the Ku-Damm Lunch Afternoon Take the tube to the Berlin Wall memorial museum Evening meal at hotel Evening walk to the Brandenburg Gate and Christmas market

Day 3 - Sunday Morning Visit the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, and Holocaust memorial lunch Afternoon Climb the TV tower at Alexanderplatz Evening Potsdamer Platz / Sony Centre and Christmas Market

Day 4 - Monday Early breakfast at hotel Coach transfer to Berlin Tegel airport Flight to London Heathrow Dep: 12.35 Arr. 13.15 Coach back to Stafford Arrive at school approx: 17.30 -18.00

Educational Visit Journals to be completed History - booklets to be created Language – to be used at hotel, Christmas markets and in shops.

Hoodies and Beanies Hoodies with the school logo on the front and Berlin Tour logo on the back plus optional nickname (free of charge) = £16.50 Beanies with Berlin on the side = £5.00 Can be ordered with me next week. Payment via parent pay from Monday. Very cool and very useful for us to recognise the children when we are out and about

Luggage VERY IMPORTANT 1 x hold luggage = 20KG (pupils must be able to carry it!) 1 x hand luggage = 5KG You will be liable for any excess, so pack lightly please! Label luggage clearly Recognisable bag No liquids, knives, sharp objects in cabin bag

Clothing You must bring: sensible/comfortable shoes warm, weatherproof jacket warm jumper and thick socks scarf and gloves

Payments Thank you very much for prompt payments Please pay any outstanding money this week if possible.

Money DAY 1 –lunch at Heathrow to eat on plane. Christmas market – money for snacks, souvenirs. DAY 2 – lunch and postcards/souvenirs from various museums DAY 3 – lunch and postcards/souvenirs from various museums DAY 4 - lunch

Money 1 x UK lunch = £5.00 3 x DE lunch = €15.00 Souvenirs/postcards/gifts = €30.00 max Approx. €40 - €50 Approx. £10

PASSPORTS Passport EHIC cards Please put in hand luggage to show to Mr Fletcher on entering coach. No passport/ehic = no travelling

MEDICAL FORMS Take one home tonight Must be handed back between 14 th and 21 st November to Mr Stokes rm 50

Behaviour You are representing the school at all times: Respect – war, comments etc… Flights/airports Using trains Hotel Restaurants In public

Sweets/food They sell lovely sweets in Germany and the food in Germany is excellent, so please do not fill your child's hand luggage with sweets!

Personal Belongings Ipads – leave at home! Phones – be aware of roaming costs and avoid calling home. Phones /mp3 players are not permitted during the day around Berlin. Cameras – the cheaper the better
