Many recommended but not legislated Immunization requirements Increase in refusals related to concerns with link to Autism Affidavit from student (coordinated through Student Services) Passive refusal process with Placement sites Clear language in career guide and placement manuals

Impact of increase in allergies (i.e. latex) Increase in students with identified physical limitations Review duty to accommodate Understand restrictions on fulfilling competencies as outlined by accrediting bodies

Increase in students with self disclosed circumstances Broadening of the types of circumstances that require accommodation Impact on licensing/registration requirements Proactive as well as reactive actions and services Collaboration with centre for students with disabilities

Increasing multicultural student population Focus on international recruitment Impact of seven day a week operations Use of student affidavit where applicable Impact on ability to perform required skills Staff and faculty education regarding the restrictions

Increased scrutiny by agencies Legislative changes that impact who is checked for what Privacy issues (student and agency) Delays caused by the increased for police checks Coordinated effort with local police service Clear expectations of responsibility communicated to students Role of placement agency (placement manual, letter for the Dean)
