Description Developed medical practices based on the yin yang Disease is when yin and yang are out of balance Acupuncture could restore the balance Herbal cures and dietary practices can prevent diseases

How did this help China? It was an important part of Chinese society and helped developed the culture It helped keep people healthy and even if it didn’t actually help it gave them peace of mind. Chinese medicine was one of the first transitions from shamans and spirits to actual physical medicine.

Modern Relevance Breast and colon cancers are not as common in china; many doctors believe this is because there is less fat in the Asian diet Acupuncture and other medical practices are still used to this day
