SA Health SA HEALTH AT A GLANCE >On any day, on average….. 1132 people were admitted to public hospitals 1498 people were treated in accident and Emergency Departments 5130 people were seen in hospital outpatient clinics Ambulance service responded to 719 incidents and assessed, treated or transported 640 patients. >Each week…. 900 South Australians had an elective surgery procedure 4400 patient visits were made by Royal District Nursing Service nurses 4860 patient were screened for breast cancer, cervical cancer, or bowel cancer. 4
