What is this and why are we using it? Do The Math (DTM) 3-5 math intervention resource district provided but not mandated

How should you use this? We are recommending 30 minute sessions (1 lesson) at least 3 times each week In addition to the general math instructional block Conducted by a skilled math teacher

Who should we use this with? ONLY students who are 1-2 grade levels behind in math

How will I know who these student are? AugustSeptemberOctober Administer MAP beginning of year screening assessment Review results from MAP data Administer AimsWeb MComp/Mcap Reference guide for selecting DTM module Administer DTM module pre-assessment Begin teaching Administer AimsWeb probe for progress monitoring after 30 intervention sessions.

Please Note: Materials are not grade level specific Materials address specific skills Materials should not be used as grade level resources

What will arrive at your building? Non-Title I: 11 Boxes with Title I: 2 sets of 11 boxes

Inside each box: Interactive Whiteboard software to accompany each module.

Inside each box: One set of demonstration materials for each module.

Inside each box: Games pack with manipulatives for a small group of 8 students.

A set of 8 student workbooks, also known as student work spaces. You will need to make copies.

Inside each manual: One spiral teacher manual for each module

Inside each manual: List and explanation of all materials in each teacher module box, with pictures.

Inside each manual: A letter from Marilyn Burns to the teacher appears every 5 lessons.

Inside each manual: Two page planner outlines 5 days of instruction.

Next Steps Email k.turner@cms.k12.nc.us with responses to the training questions enclosed in the webinar.k.turner@cms.k12.nc.us Await a confirmation e-mail regarding shipment of materials and estimated time of arrival. Expect an inventory list of boxes and a separate inventory list for the contents of each box.

Next Steps I do not need an inventory of the contents of each box, just an email confirming the arrival of each of the 11 or 22 boxes The additional inventory sheet for the contents of each box is for your building use only
