Location Location Coniferous forests are located in the Northern Hemisphere. Some are in Europe Asia, USA, Norway, and Canada. They’re usually in a colder climate.

Landscape Most of the trees are Evergreen trees and Conifers. The southward mountain ranges are the portions of the Northern Appalachians and Rocky Mountains. Lots of snow falls in winter due to cold air.

Great Horned Owl The Great Horned Owl is the largest owl in North America It is sometimes called the Cat Owl. Its diet is mice and a lot of other things.

Cross Bill The Cross Bill is part of the Finch family. There are five species of Cross Bill. Males are orange or red, females are green or yellow.

Grizzly Bear The Grizzly Bear eats meat and fruits. Grizzly Bears are mammals. Grizzly Bears usually live about 25 years.

Fun facts Fun facts The largest stretch of Coniferous forest is the Taiga. The forest is in the northern Hemisphere. Europe, Siberia, and North America all have winter moist bearing cyclonic storms brought on westerly's.
