Agriculture – Prepares and processes raw materials, so other companies or consumers can use them. Examples: farms; logging companies; mining companies. Agriculture Industry

Wholesalers and Retailers – DO NOT make goods or consume goods. Examples: department stores, grocery stores, shopping malls. They are distributors that move goods from the manufacturer to another business or to consumers. Wholesale / Retail Industry

Service industries – DO NOT make goods or consume goods. Examples: department stores, grocery stores, transportation companies; retailers; healthcare; education; insurance; banking. They are distributors that move goods from the manufacturer to another business or to consumers. Wholesale / Retail Industry

Moving Companies Service Industry

Service – businesses that provide a service to their customers (not a good they can carry home with them). Examples: Internet and cable television providers; social media websites; schools; healthcare, banks and insurance companies, and research companies.

Name 3-5 examples from of this level of industry using the table found on textbook page 130. For PRIMARY INDUSTRY you will just name the industry that I gave you. Using the Internet, find an actual company that fits in each industry level. Note the company name and its location. Illustrate the level of industry. You can draw a picture or find a picture from the Internet. For all other levels, you have to come up with an industry that is related. If you draw a picture, it must be colorful, neat, accurate, and it must make sense with the level of industry. Write a short caption explaining your illustration. 5 55 1010
