What is STB? STB = Set Top Box

Why do we need STB? Digital Signal Analog Signal STB encode/decode the digital signal and provide the TV set with known analogue signal.

Displaying the Configuration Page
By pressing the SET button will get the above login page Enter the password (8288 by default) Get the configuration main menu.

Saving the Configuration
All changes need a password to be saved. If "successful!" is displayed, it indicates that the configurations have been successfully saved. If "password error!" is displayed, enter the correct password and try to save again.

1 - Network Configuration
The STB has three network access modes: Static IP, DHCP, and PPPoE. We can select one of them so as to match the type of network access provided at your premises.

Enter the following Parameters:
Static IP Enter the following Parameters: IP address Subnet mask DNS address Gateway address IGMP version of the switch (this item needs to be configured for multicast services)

Browser Configuration
Home page: It is the first Web page displayed when the STB is turned on. Usually, it is the EPG page. Entry: we can select BTV or EPG. If BTV is selected, the TV will display the last channel you watched last time. If EPG is selected, the TV will display the first page of EPG. Region: Select a region, the warning language of STB will be changed to the language of the region you selected.

In the TV standard configuration, we can select TV standard and set video display region and other parameters, TV standard: We can select PAL or NTSC according to the EPG standards the ISP provided and your local TV standard. Top margin: The margin between the video display area and the top margin of the TV. Left margin: The margin between the video display area and the left side margin of the TV. Width: The width of the video display area. Height: The height of the video display area.

4 - Time Configuration (NTP - Network Time Protocol) In the time configuration, set the time information of STB Cur time: The current time displayed Time zone: 5 Ntp time server: Note: Please, insert the correct time zone and NTP, server without these settings TSTV will not work.

This page lists the configuration for the auto upgrade of the STB. We need to enter the upgrade address, as shown above.

8 - Identity Information of STB
This page lists the identity information of the STB, including the MAC address and the product serial number. These parameters are set by the factory and cannot be changed.

CA card Installation (CA- Conditional Access)
Smartcard The Smartcard with metal chipset down side has to insert into slot on front panel of STB. When the STB is switched on it authenticates the username and password associated with that particular CA card.
