11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them. 13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. 18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. 19 A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. 20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power. Acts 19:11-20

Isaiah 14:12-15 (NIV) 12 How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! 13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” 15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit.

Revelation 12:9 (NASB) 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[a] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. John 8:44 (KJV) He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,…for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Revelation 20:10 (NIV) 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

1. Committed Christians make the devil nervous. Committed Christians are those who are sold out, washed in the blood, filled with the Spirit, and schooled in the Word. A committed Christian serves the LORD confidently. A committed Christian serves the LORD wholeheartedly A committed Christian serves the LORD absolutely,

2. Praying Christians make the devil nervous. Time you spend with the Lord is more effective than the time you spend for the Lord. The devil would rather have you work, for work can be done in the flesh. The devil doesn’t care how many people talk Christianity, BUT he cares how many live it on their knees.

3. Forgiving Christians make the devil nervous. One of Satan’s best tools is to get Christians working against each other. Col.3:13, "bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the LORD forgave you, so also should you." Lord’s Prayer Matt. 6:12

4. United Christians make the devil nervous. I Cor.1:10, Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.“ Focus on the Messiah Focus on our mission Focus on the message
