Supplement to Support Use of 100g IU received US$600K supplement from NSF – Direct support for users to try out 100G circuits – Funding to support extending monitoring tools – IXIA 100G Tester NOTE: Not money for circuits, but support for *USE* of circuits
5
Testbed Use We’re primarily using the ANA-100-G circuit – We writeup a request for time, equipment, etc identifying our partners for the work – This is evaluated by the consortium owners – Their goal is to broadly support science – for more information here please contact Erik-Jan Bos ejb@jibconsult.nlejb@jibconsult.nl Could use other testbeds, such as ESNet 100G domestic testbed
6
What Are We Seeing 1)The hardest part is working with the links between the end user’s site and the testbed 2)How many applications *really* need this? 3)Language issues 4)Baseline functionality issues vs higher level, often experimental, tech
7
What Are We Seeing 5)Very different requirements even for a single appl. 6)Cross-domain network debugging is HARD 7)We need to share information about what works better
