3 What we do Sycamore Tree Letter Writing Sycamore Tree Peer Mentoring Sycamore Tree is a victim awareness programme that teaches the principles of restorative justice to prisoners, also recognising the impact of offending on families and the community. Our Letter Writing programme enables prisoners to feel valued and supported. Friendships develop where prisoners are able to experience the normality of receiving and writing letters preparing for their future life after release. Enabling prisoners to develop communication skills, responsibility through supporting other learners and an opportunity to give back to the prison community.
