AP Statistics Adoption Committee Meetings Committee members met 2 days afterschool – April 3, 2014 – April 15, 2014 Committee members rotated materials and reviewed them on their own time Committee criterion to narrowing curriculum choices: – Alignment to AP & Common Core Standards – Technology (ebook, test generator, calculator) – Ancillary materials (answer key, hands-on/project materials) – Assessment (align to AP test, level of difficulty) 4

Implementation Plan Orientation of students to textbook structure, problems, AP practice, online resources Language and practices of univariate data analysis, perhaps with a mini project. 10

Implementation Plan Use of hands-on activities to develop understanding. Orientate students to the State-Plan-Do- Conclude framework to develop good problem solving skills. Utilize computer lab to familiarize students to on line materials including technology screen casts, worked exercise videos, and the end of chapter on line test. 11
