To be a professional psychologist requires a doctorate (or in a few cases masters degree) There are plenty of career options with a bachelor’s degree that are rewarding, interesting, and pay well A Psychology Bachelor’s gives you an edge The preparation in the major (critical thinking, communication skills, research skills) The “mystique” of psychology The Buffalo State College and SUNY diploma “brand”

Career Development Center Talk to your advisor Go on line (check out http://www.payscale.com)http://www.payscale.com Think about an internship in your Junior or Senior year Mind your academics (GPA does count, don’t drop too many classes, think about minors that are relevant to your career interests) Get involved. Get to know your faculty members. That will help when you need references.
