Word Editing Restrictions The Editing restrictions allow you to limit changes based on the type of editing in the document: Tracked changes option allows users to change the document by inserting comments and to track changes only. Comments option allows users to change the document by inserting comments only. They cannot change the content of the document. Filling in forms option allows users to enter data only into form fields. This prevents users from making changes to a form. No changes (read only) option prevents users from making any changes in the document.
