2.  Microsoft Office offers a variety of products to meet all of your Home, Student and Business Needs.  We have already covered what most people call the Big 3 of the Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)  Moving forward we will introduce you to some other Office Products Office Programs

3.  Our next chapter of study will be introducing you to some of the other Office Programs  Access  Outlook  Publisher  One Note Office Programs

6.  Access is a Database Management System used to create Databases, Customer Lists, Sales Data.  What is a Database?  A Database is a collection of objects  Access allows the objects to work together to store, retrieve, display and summarize data.  Why should I learn Access, I can do all of those things in Excel.  Why Use Access Why Use Access Access

7.  Outlook is a Email Program and a Personal Information Manager  You can use Outlook to manage your email, create contact lists, manage your calendar, set up meetings,  Outlook Outlook

8.  Publisher is a desktop publishing program that is an easy to use and a less expensive alternative than using a professional printing service.  You Can use publisher to create Invitations, Flyers, Cards and Certificates. Publisher

9.  InfoPath was a Microsoft office program that allowed you to create electronic forms it was discontinued completely in 2014 and was not offered in later versions of Office. I am mentioning this because it was offered as part of Office 2007 which is the current version of Office that we are using. What about InfoPath

10.  Microsoft OneNote is a note-taking and personal information management program.  Think of it as a electronic version of a paper notebook.  Why should I use One Note instead of Word  Allows for all of your information to be stored in one place, easier to capture data, can be shared with other users. 11.  Office Online is the future of Windows Office Suite as it will allow for much more flexibility and control over what programs and features the user wants. You can get Office Online for free for a basic version or you can purchase upgraded packages which contain more features.  Office Online was also designed for the ever changing world of technology that we currently live in. 12.  Over the next couple of weeks we will be covering Access, Outlook, Publisher and OneNote.  While we will not studying these programs as deeply as we did Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Having a general understanding of these programs is beneficial. What’s next
