2 Measurable Annual Goals should be: Statements that describe what a student with a disability can reasonably be expected to accomplish within a twelve month period Skills and/or knowledge that will be mastered, not an activity Observable-a behavior that can be seen or heard Measurable-requires an observer to do something (count, weigh, watch, etc.) in order to evaluate the student’s progress

3 Annual Goals Must Include Timeframe- the amount of time in the goal period Condition-the manner in which progress occurs Behavior-identifies the performance that is being monitored Criterion-identifies how much, how often, or to what standard the behavior must occur to demonstrate achievement
