College Bound? “I have a student continuing on with postsecondary education, how do they maintain their Bookshare membership?” They can use their time off to prepare for their new new school. They will need an Individual Membership: As a Disability Coordinator, if you sign up the student with an Individual Membership, they can take it with them when they leave at no cost as long as they remain in school. In addition, they can get a few good books to read in the meantime! Keep student status current with school information

15
Obtaining an Organizational Membership Disability Coordinators are pre-approved through Bookshare to sign-up for an organizational membership on your center. Access the Organizational Membership form on the Bookshare website & complete the form. There are a few questions you might be unsure of. Sign-up as a US K-12 high school & check the free lunch box. Submit the form to Bookshare. 15
16
What Happens Next? Once Bookshare approves the application, you will receive additional information from Bookshare a few other quick forms to complete. One of the forms will ask you for a roster of eligible students; however, you can add them one at a time once your membership is active. If you don’t plan on downloading the books yourself, determine which instructors you will authorize on the site to download books. You can do this at any time. Books can be download to a disc or thumb drive. 16
