6. Mentoring is..... Definition of Mentoring – The Home Office ‘A one-to-one, non-judgemental relationship in which an individual voluntarily gives time to support and encourage another. This relationship is typically developed at a time of transition in the mentee’s life and lasts for a significant and sustained period of time.’

7. What do Mentors do? Provide intensive practical support Accompanying client to access relevant support ▪ Assist in making necessary appointments with Job Seekers, Benefits, GP etc. Help the client in setting their own goals and agreeing mutual committment. Giving ongoing proactive, regular contact by phone or in person. ▪ Challenge negative behaviours
