#1. First Presidency Temple Policy Message "Because of the sacred nature of this work, members should be diligent in assuring the accuracy of all information submitted for ordinance work." (Letter dated 16 June 1995 and signed by the First Presidency for all Church members, Ensign, September 1995, page 80) Validating information involves documenting and presenting the information used when submitting a name for ordinances. Submitting many names without research is not adhering to the counsel from the brethren. Please research and accurately identify ancestors before submitting names for temple ordinances. Be a Star!

What is Open Edit Format? It is where anybody can change anything on Family Tree: names dates, places, relationships, etc.YIKES! Checking the CHANGE LOG on a person’s page, allows you to RESTORE data that was changed, And placing a WATCH on ancestors, alerts you by email that data has been changed, BUT … STOP THIEF!
