A. Background Review What are the Bill of Rights? Which political party wanted this so badly? Why was the Bill of Rights passed?

B. Bill of Rights Video Write the 1 st Amendment through 10 th Amendment down on your paper. As you watch the video, write down the descriptions of the amendments that you hear. C. Organization The Bill of Rights is generally broken down into three categories: Individual freedoms – Protection from government power – Rights of the accused – Write beside each category the numbers of the amendments that best belong to the category. If you think that an amendment goes under more than one, write the specific part of the amendment that falls underneath that category.
