Logging in to HeadMaster Double-click the HeadMaster Icon Enter your username & password. Select the dataset and click OK.

Teacher Reminders Create your own reminders to help manage your daily activities. Right-click & click Add. Once you have entered your reminder information, click OK.

Home Screen Easy-to-access information at your fingertips.

Accessing Student Information On the Home screen, click the Students icon. Double-click the student you would like to view. Click the various tabs to view the Student Information.

Accessing Class Information On the Home screen, click the Classes Icon. Double-click the class that you would like to view. Click the various tabs to view the Class Information.

Seating Chart Select the class then click the Seating Chart Icon. Arrange the students in the order you need. You can also add empty desks if necessary.

Managing Attendance HeadMaster has two types of Attendance: School Attendance: taken once a day Class Attendance: taken every class period

School Attendance On the Home screen, click School Attendance. Select the date. Select the appropriate Attendance Code. Double-click to assign the Attendance Code to a student. Click OK to save attendance.

Class Attendance Class Attendance is taken similar to School Attendance. On the Home screen, click Class Attendance. Select the date. Select the Class. Double-click to assign the Attendance Code to a student. Click OK to save attendance.

Creating Assignment Types What are Assignment Types? Homework Tests Quizzes Seat work Class participation On the Class Subject tab, click Add to create a new Assignment Type. Select or create a new assignment type. Enter the weight it will be worth. Click Ok.

On the Home screen, click Post Grades. Teacher Grade Book Click Customize to choose your display options.

= Teacher Grade Book Choose to view a specific or all grading periods.

Teacher Grade Book Create a new assignment and edit or delete an existing assignment. Enter your assignment information. Select the assignment type and the number of points it is worth. Click OK to save the assignment.

Teacher Grade Book Update All allows you to Omit or Include a grade for all students as well as enter the same grade for all students. You can also drop the lowest grade for each assignment type.

Teacher Grade Book To view an individual student’s grades, click on the student and then click the Filter Students Icon.

Teacher Grade Book Other Grade Book Features: Student average recalculates automatically as you enter new grades. You can enter teacher comments for each grading period to appear on report cards. Omit grades for individual students. Track Skills Grades such as “Recognizes sight words” or “Can count to 100 by 2’s”

Lesson Plans Teachers can create weekly lesson plans that can be reviewed by administration. On the Home screen, click Lesson Plans. Click New. Select the week and click OK.

Lesson Plans Enter all necessary information for each day for each subject. You can make edits to adjust your lesson plans accordingly. Click OK to save your lesson plans.
