About the workshop Aim: o To find out more about the types of jobs available at Kent, one of the South East’s biggest employers, and speak to SECL alumni who now work here Timings: o 2:15-3pm Presentations from guest speakers o 3-4pm Informal networking and chatting in the Foyer

My current role – an overview ½ Employability, ½ Marketing and Recruitment Employability: “The ability to gain meaningful employment” o Organising events o Updating the website o Liaising with alumni & local businesses o Running an Academic Peer Mentoring scheme

To summarise… Experience is key – any experience is better than none You need to stand out from the crowd It’s ok if you don’t know what to do! Lots of opportunities available at Kent, almost any career imaginable Good pay, conditions, facilities, opportunities and great colleagues!
