Build Your Own Website! Step 1: Visit www.weebly.com.www.weebly.com

Step 2: You will be asked to select the “focus” of your site. Click on “Site”.

Step 3: Choose a theme. You can easily change this later.

Today, please select THIS theme. For today’s workshop, please select this theme.

Step 4: Choose your website domain. Your website’s address will be a subdomain of Weebly.com, and will read __________.weebly.com. You can also change this later.

Navigating Weebly on Your Own: Tips & Tools

Add Text & Titles Move your mouse to the left side of the screen. Click on the “Title” button or the “Text” button, and drag the button to the desired place on your page. A textbox will appear, and you will be able to start typing.

Attach a File Move your mouse to the left side of the screen. Click on the “File” button, and drag it to the desired place on your page. Then, click on the box to upload a file saved on your computer.

Add an Image Move your mouse to the left side of the screen. Click on the “Image” button and drag it to the desired place on your page. Then, click on the box to upload an image from your computer or from GoogleImages.

Add/Edit Pages STEP 1: Click on the “Pages” tab to add/delete pages within your site. STEP 2: Click on the “+Add” button to add a new page to your site.

Publish Your Website Your website will not be visible at the address you selected until you click “Publish”. You should click “Publish” (top right corner) every time you make a change to the site to be sure that your students are viewing the most updated version. Think of “Publish” as a “Save” button.
