“The Artist” Sir Walter wrote poetry to Elizabeth I while being held in London Tower and got released, and was later re-arrested and eventually beheaded for treason.

The Soldier and Adventure Seeker Raleigh put down an Irish rebellion at Ulster in 1580. Took over the town of Gadiz in1596. Colonized Roanoke and explored Trinidad. Raleigh lived a full life as a soldier, explorer, philosopher, astronomer, writer, and scientist.
