Corduroy’s Math Adventure in Third Grade Project #7 Mrs. HoltKK-04

145 – One Hundred forty-five We went to classroom number 145. That was Mrs. Edwards’ room. She teaches third grade. The number on the door helps me to know where her classroom is.

11 - eleven We found the number 11 on the box. The box had a picture of a clock on it. Numbers on the clock go from 1 to 12.

18 – eighteen We found the number 18 on the wall by the hooks. We hang our coats and backpacks on them. Each student has a number so they know which hook is theirs.

39 – thirty-nine This is a clock. My teacher says it is a digital clock. It only has numbers. This number is 39. We have to hurry or we will be late.

15 - fifteen We found this number on the board. It was a list of spelling words. Numbers help tell you how many spelling words you have.

My reflection Corduroy and I had an adventure to find numbers. I learned that numbers are everywhere. Even big kids have to learn about numbers. We use numbers a lot in school.

I CHOSE CCSS STANDARD: CC.K.NBT.1 Work with numbers 11+ to gain foundations for place value. Understand that these numbers are composed of tens and ones. Domain: NBT: Number Operations in Base Ten: Relating numbers to our world. AND ASKED MY STUDENT(S) TO CREATIVELY DEMONSTRATE THEIR UNDERSTANDING BY creating a PowerPoint or book about their math adventures with Corduroy. TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: What numbers can Corduroy find in our world? Statement of Purpose
