What is a Bar Graph?? A Bar Graph uses rectangular bars or objects to represent data. They can be used to compare individual years or other distinct items. For example: Comparing the price in jeans, shorts, and t-shirts from a given store. Comparing the types of music a class likes Comparing the heights of boy and girls in a gym class

Ways to Display Data Now you have three ways to represent data: Stem and Leaf Plots, Box and Whisker Plots, and Bar Graphs. A bar graph is useful for comparing facts. The bars provide a visual display for comparing quantities in different categories. Bar graphs help us to see relationships quickly. Another name for a bar graph is a bar chart. Each part of a bar graph has a purpose.
