Conventions – Mise-en- Scene The mise-en-scene is typical to its period which is usually around the 40s and 50s. We often see men in smart suits and women in suggestive clothing as they are seen as a sex symbol. They are frequently in an office environment and the typical lighting I noticed is through blinds. The men often drive old fashioned cars. Other settings include rainy streets, abandoned warehouses, alley ways The colours are normally black and white
