Conventions – Mise-en- Scene  The mise-en-scene is typical to its period which is usually around the 40s and 50s.  We often see men in smart suits and women in suggestive clothing as they are seen as a sex symbol.  They are frequently in an office environment and the typical lighting I noticed is through blinds.  The men often drive old fashioned cars.  Other settings include rainy streets, abandoned warehouses, alley ways  The colours are normally black and white
