The Cruelty of Vivisection A cat cowers in her cage. A monster grabs her by the neck. The fiend shoves a tube down her throat And the cat screams in pain. The cat longs to be in A warm, loving home, Surrounded by people she loves And by children who love to play with her. Instead she is here, Where she will die slowly and painfully Like the rest of the animals... A dog whines in fear As the so-called "scientist" grabs him And slams him on the ground. He knows he doesn't like it here, But he has to stay here. He rarely gets any attention from the vivisectors, And the only human interaction he gets... Is from the cruel tests that he receives. He wishes somebody will rescue him, But that's only in his dreams. He dies a minute later...

How can you sleep? How can you live and still smile and laugh when you treat an animal like it doesn't deserve to exist? When you cause them so much pain and treat them like dirt how can you sleep? Sleep like nothing you do shows the true inhumane way of your life. You cruelly murder and you only dream of the money you'll make and you sleep guilt-free. I don't know how.

The shocking number of cruelty cases reported daily in the media is only the tip of the iceberg. Every year, The HSUS rescues thousands of animals from miserable situations. Although there is no national reporting system for animal abuse, media reports suggest that it is common in rural and urban areas. Most cases are never reported, and most animal suffering goes unrecognized and unabated. Cruelty and neglect can also cross socio-economic

Just imagine you’re a lonely ownerless dog wondering the dark smelly streets with fleas biting you as you walk. Kids kick you, tie you up and leave you to starve to death. It’s not fair for the dog to be treated that way.

hi I'm Garret I had open, bloody wounds covering my body when I was found by a concerned individual in Detroit. With no collar or tags, it was clear that I had been on my own for a while. When the a driver arrived, the driver saw I it was in pain and frightened. After a little coaxing with treats, I slowly came around and began to warm up. The rescue driver was told that I had been seen hit by a car and left to fend for myself – why did he not stop to help me when will it stop?
